Kenya Safari Planning

Open landscapes and coast-and-safari possibilities.

Start with the shape of your trip

Start by choosing your priority: time in the Mara, elephant-focused landscapes around Amboseli, or a more varied circuit. A useful Kenya inquiry names two or three priorities rather than every park you have heard of.

Make the proposal easy to compare

Compare nights at each stop, camp locations and time available for drives. A coast extension can work well, but put the transfer on the itinerary before treating it as a free afternoon.

Give each operator the same dates, number of travelers and accommodation preferences. Ask for named overnight stops, clearly listed activities and a breakdown of what is included. If your dates or budget are flexible, explain where you can compromise and what matters most.

Leave room for a real conversation

Use suggested routes as a starting point, then ask how the itinerary works for your group. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Activity availability, conditions and routing can change, so confirm the details for your dates directly with the operator before committing.
