Zambia Safari Planning

Thoughtful guiding and a slower safari rhythm.

Start with the shape of your trip

If walking is one reason you are considering Zambia, make that interest clear from the first inquiry. Ask what the proposed camp actually offers on your dates instead of assuming every safari includes the same mix of activities.

Make the proposal easy to compare

Describe your preferred pace and comfort level. An operator should explain the route, activity arrangements and what alternatives exist when conditions change.

Give each operator the same dates, number of travelers and accommodation preferences. Ask for named overnight stops, clearly listed activities and a breakdown of what is included. If your dates or budget are flexible, explain where you can compromise and what matters most.

Leave room for a real conversation

Use suggested routes as a starting point, then ask how the itinerary works for your group. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Activity availability, conditions and routing can change, so confirm the details for your dates directly with the operator before committing.
